Stass Paraskos
Stass Paraskos (b. 1933 in Anaphotia, Larnaca).
He studied painting at Leeds College of Art. He was appointed as a lecturer at Canterbury College of Art and, as a visitor, also lectured at the University of Leeds as well as other college and art institutions in Britain. He founded the Summer School of Arts, initially in Kato Pafos and subsequently at Lempa, where it later developed into the Cyprus College of Art. He was also involved in sculpting and the illustration of books. The University of Bolton bestowed upon him the honorary title of Doctorate for his services in art.
